People are interactive. They communicate what they want. If you show a table with food or a free place to sleep, they will look for something that provides the required information in a precise manner. This is because humans cannot grasp a piece of dynamic, heterogeneous information. They have limited reasoning power and thus they are affected by the current condition of the real-time environment, usually in real-time. But this is not the case with AI and robots. When information flows fast and in real-time, the human senses are overwhelmed. This means that robots and digital computing can provide perfect answers to human interaction in a logical and precise way. The question is, does this help the person, the human, to achieve their task? Does it create a better or less frustrating experience?

Technology is an area of study that focuses on the systematic study of and application of the use of science and technology in society. Technology can be defined as “a system, device, or activity that permits a process of transmission, measurement, control, or reproduction”. Technology is a means to an end; a means to an end that employs human intelligence and perception. Human Intelligence Human beings possess a suite of universal faculties including perception, cognition, language, recognition, and emotion. In fact, these universal faculties of human beings are so powerful and pervasive that they are the backbone of humankind. Unfortunately, in our pursuit to speed up and speed through progress, human intelligence and humanity have been neglected.
The Influence of Technology on Language
Research has shown that the human brain processes information in approximately 300 ways. The following selection of brain states has been identified: Neural signals, Muscles in response to a command, Other neurons. Intelligence is not needed to apply these signals and senses. A healthy human can learn a new language almost immediately. That has nothing to do with intelligence. Why can’t technology improve language comprehension? Technology can improve language comprehension, but to the extent that humans think of language and define it. Technology can read the text and convert it into readable written format. Technological assistance can improve data collection and curation. Analyses were done using data mining and big data can inform decision-making.
How Technology Influences Human Interactions
Our thought process is influenced by words as much as by touch and sight. Recently, a few researchers developed an algorithm to understand human speech and translate it to text. It can decode 100 different languages to an extent. What’s even better, this software understands intent and how and where a word is being used. For example, the words “found” and “used” would mean the same in some languages, but not in others. The computer can learn from years of language learning, and its understanding and language processing will only improve. In addition to language, technology can influence our perceptions of our environment. The cloud has made our computing devices much more accessible. However, it also has made our lives easier, as we never have to carry a book of notes with us anymore.
The Importance of Technology
Technology is perhaps the biggest enabler of human capability and engagement. Without it, humans would find it a herculean task to tap into and benefit from the infinite wealth of knowledge that lies dormant within us. An active mind is capable of reaching beyond the fixed world, and so too, can the application of technology to take us to unexplored avenues. The flipside is, of course, that if we too are in the control of technology, and we ourselves limit the ways in which it can be utilized, we would be moving backward. We are in danger of retarding our ability to reason, think critically, and create solutions. We are also moving closer to a world where the singularity will come to pass and AI will take over. How can we avoid that?
Technology will never replace human interaction
Another thing that makes us human is our ability to problem-solve. The software will never be able to generate quick and correct answers to common problems because they cannot think like humans. Instead, AI and machine learning will become the go-to solution to solving problems with greater certainty. But we will never abandon human intelligence when it comes to our own ability to solve some problems. One way to look at this is to look at the work of Peter Weill, the author of a TED talk about his company, Artilectics, which claims to have created a brain-inspired computing technology.
Although there is a wealth of information available in any language, we can never fully extract the hidden meaning. It is the transfer of language from the heart, rather than the brain that has a significant impact. From a technological standpoint, we might not need the development of such technologies in the future. But the development of human capabilities might.
