Janet McCurdy gives an eyebrow-raising detail about the end of her time on Nickelodeon

Jennette McCurdy was one of the most prominent children's TV stars because of her role in the hugely loved Nickelodeon show "iCarly.

" The show was not without plenty of controversial aspects that viewers chose to overlook,

but it's well-loved by those who were young enough to have seen the show when it first was on air.

The show has recently seen an updated revive through its Paramount+ streaming platform.

McCurdy However, she doesn't appear in the updated version. The recent statements she's made regarding her involvement in the first version of the book explain the reason.

According to the Washington Post profile, the former child star is set to come out with a memoir

detailing her working and life in that turbulent time that has the eye-catching subtitle.

"I'm Glad My Mom Died." The memoir details the abuse she was reportedly subjected to from her mother's passing and also while working on "iCarly."

In the profile as well as her book, McCurdy also makes some eye-sore claims regarding the of her Nick stint,

during which she was a guest on the show with rising superstar Ariana Grande, who was on the TV show "Sam and Cat.
