How did the Maui fire start? What we know about the cause of the Lahaina blaze

Amid a string of wildfires burning in Hawaii that compelled evacuations and cut strength to heaps,

massive blazes in the visitor town of Lahaina on Maui,

fueled by way of a mix of land and atmospheric situations that may create 

"fireplace climate," sent human beings walking into the ocean searching for safety. 

At least six humans were killed inside the fires, Maui Mayor Richard Bissen said at a briefing Wednesday.

The U.S. Coast Guard confirmed to CBS News that crews had rescued approximately a dozen individuals who jumped into the water 

so that it will escape the Lahaina fires, which left a number of structures badly damaged.

On Front Street, a famous vacationer vacation spot within the metropolis, business proprietor Alan Dickar described 

 seeing homes on both sides of the road "engulfed" in flames, in feedback to CBS Honolulu affiliate KGMB-TV.
