According to Deadline, the “Glee” star received four standing ovations for her role as Fanny Brice on “Funny Girl”. Michele and Tovah Feldshuh accepted white rose bouquets for her at the curtain.

Feldshuh portrays Mrs. Brice.

The audience included Michele’s former “Spring Awakening” co-star Jonathan Groff and Ryan Murphy, the creator of “Glee”, as well as Zachary Quinto, an actor.

Michele often referred to “Funny Girl”, with Rachel Berry singing “Don’t Rain on My Parade,” and “I’m the Greatest Star”.

“Funny Girl” featured Beanie Feldstein as the title role in “Booksmart”.

Feldstein resigned from “Funny Girl,” two months before it was revealed she would be replaced by Michele. She said she was following the decision “to take the show in another direction.”
